2022 Mission

The Settle Memorial Fund is a non-profit organization (www.SettleHelps.Org) providing support to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).  Our mission is to assist HBCUs by donating resources assisting in educating tomorrow's leaders.  This year's planning committee has identified the Johnson C. Smith University, Charlotte NC. as our 2022 recipient.  Proceeds from the 2022 Memorial Golf Tournament will support renovating the on campus tennis courts at Johnson C Smith University.  Tennis court resurfacing is a two-phase process that involves aggressive repair of the existing court structure called the “repair phase” followed by the application of an acrylic coating system , called the “surfacing phase”.

 

Funds from the Settle Memorial Tournament will support resurfacing the tennis courts on the campus of Johnson C. Smith University, ensuring proper maintenance.  This work is essential for player satisfaction and safety.  It also extends the life of the tennis court.
